NEWS: The Rochester Jr. Americans Tender Goalie Prospect Ryan Hacker

Jun 5, 2023

FAIRPORT, NY — The Jr. Americans are proud to tender Elgin, Illinois native Ryan Hacker as the second goalie of our inaugural class.

It’s impossible to mention Ryan Hacker without mentioning his size. The goalie stands at 6’8″ and 205 lbs according to his Elite Prospects profile. He most recently wrapped his season with the Omaha Mastery, which claims to be the “Premier Tier 1 AAA Program in the Midwest.” In 31 games with the 18U AAA program, Hacker posted a .915 save percentage and a 2.61 goals against average. In seven games with the North American Prospects Hockey League, he tallied a .870 SV% and a 3-4-0 record.

A tender is a contract, of sorts. A player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft.

The Jr. Amerks are very excited to welcome Ryan and wish him congratulations!
