FAIRPORT, NY — The Rochester Jr. Americans are would like to welcome defenseman and Brown University commit Alex Zakrzewski.

Zakrzewski signed his tender agreement with the Jr. Amerks after most recently playing high school hockey at Salisbury School. According to Elite Prospects, over the course of two seasons at Salisbury School, Zakrzewski tallied 30 points in 56 games.

The defenseman was born March 12, 2004 in Orchard Park, NY. His 2004 birth year gives him multiple seasons of NAHL eligibility if necessary.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders – plus or minus any trades – which become active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft.

The Jr. Amerks are excited to welcome Alex to our Jr. Amerks tender class!
